West Virginia Investment Management Board (WVIMB) was established in 1997 as a result of modernizing the State’s investment management structure. The vast majority of the assets that WVIMB manages consists of the State’s defined retirement plans, including the assets of the Defined Benefit Plans for teachers and other public employees, along with the Workers’ Compensation Fund, the Coal Workers’ Fund, and the Wildlife Endowment Fund; among other State plans which may be added from time to time.
